The Downtown Columbus Condo Conundrum…If You List it, Will They Come?
November 9th, 2010 categories: Condos & Lofts, Downtown, For Home Buyers, Market Updates
About 29 months ago I wrote a post talking about the downtown Columbus condo market and how I ‘finally’ saw all the units at 8 on The Square. I waxed poetic about how much I liked those units, and had some pictures of a few of the to-die-for Columbus views.
Today, at the corner of Broad and [...]

Is the best home search ap for smart-phones’s getting even better?
July 15th, 2010 categories: About Me?, For Home Buyers
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a geek about mapping and home search solutions. The more intuitive the better. Cool factor is nice too. A while back, I wrote about Realtor.com’s new iphone ap and called it the best home search ap for smart phones on the market.
While following a Real Estate conference in [...]

Columbus Taxes, Suburban Schools – Columbus School Board extends “win-win”
May 7th, 2010 categories: For Home Buyers, For Home Sellers
Every once in a while, I will have a buyer who specifically is looking for a home that has Columbus Taxes but is located in an area where the children go to a School System that is not Columbus– for example, Westerville, Hilliard, Dublin.
As I write this, there are at least 135 such schools actively [...]

Clintonville Charmer! and the Lack of Originality in Columbus MLS Remarks
March 1st, 2010 categories: About Me?, Clintonville, For Home Buyers, For Home Sellers
You’d be amazed how often I read the remarks on a new listing, check out the history of the listing in the Columbus MLS, and find the EXACT same remarks the previous agent used. It’s uncanny. Sometimes the remarks are in the entirety, sometimes it’s most of the old remarks with a few fresh ones [...]

Will The Columbus Housing Market be worse in 2010 than it was in 2009?
December 17th, 2009 categories: For Home Buyers, For Home Sellers, Market Updates, Real Estate News
Robert Hahn wrote an article that appeared on Inman News recently that was ripe with 2010 predictions regarding the state of Real Estate in the country. It is a good read and I liked his take on many of the subjects. Aside from mentioning the Jets not going to the Super Bowl, Hahn predicted that [...]

Sometimes, having a Realtor with a stellar web presence pays off. While it probably won’t create a sale, and despite the objections regarding the color of the dining room and the potential addition of an eat-in table in the kitchen, today’s airing of my listing at 1224 Fair [...]

This afternoon President Obama signed the bill into law that will extend the $8,000 homebuyer tax credit to contracts signed by April 30 and closed by June 30.
I’m surprised that they left the two month window but I think it’s very smart. Still, even if it were this week, I would not try to [...]
