"You scored a lot of points with us when you answered my specific questions straight up without any BS. I think other Realtors would have told us what they thought we wanted to hear." - Brad Rosser
"As a first-time homebuyer, I was nervous about the entire process. Step by step, Joe made it easy and fun. His expertise in the Columbus real estate market is a tremendous asset. He is highly recommended!" - Nicolette Horan
"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign.
Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp
What will this Clintonville Home Sell for? Who will buy it?
It’s a rare home in Columbus, Ohio that has NEVER been for sale. Of course, homes that were newly built for the current sellers would fall into that category, but how about an 86 year old home in Clintonville that has never been for sale?
The home was built in the early 1920’s for the Parents of the now late 93 year old Seller. Two generations have lived there for an incredibly long time and the Clintonvile House has never been on the market.
It’s literally the first time the home has ever been for sale–the house was built for the parents of 93 yr old woman who lived there. 2 year old roof, wood floors. This house at 383 Crestview goes to auction on Sunday Aug 23 at 12:05PM. You’ll need to bring $5,000 with you.
Generally, there is a premium of some sort on top of the final price–10% maybe–that pays your Realtor (me of course) and the Auctioneer and for the advertising.
They’re also selling the contents so it’s likely the real estate itself could go last, be sure to ask at the open house either Sunday 1-2 or Monday 6-7 PM. Three bedrooms, 1 bath, 1152 square feet, full basement, aluminum siding. There is no garage, and the fireplace is decorative. I’ve never seen the inside, but knowing Clintonville homes like I do, I imagine the kitchen, bath and plumbing are all in need of updating.
I’m thinking of capturing the story of this auction by attending the open houses and the auction, talking to people and sharing with you how it all turns out. Interested?

Hey Joe,
Just walked by this home yesterday. I felt like a historian telling my family about it (don’t worry, I told them the source of the information). Pretty cool. One bathroom though – ouch.
UPDATE: Because this property didn’t meet the seller’s expectations at auction last week, it is now officially on the market and listed at $124,900.
A similar property at 501 Tibet is, In my opinion, an even better option at $119,900. It is a foreclosure that needs some updating but is a bit more house with a bit better floor plan and (albeit shaky) 2 car garage.
