Now that even Experience Columbus (the highly visible arm of the city’s convention and visitors bureau) is going to vacate downtown for the new downtown, err, I mean Arena District, how does that bode for our city’s real center
I do agree, however, that the space they take up on High street at their current location, 90 N. High Street, could be put to better use. Let’s face it, how much foot traffic goes by there every day Not enough and that’s my point. High and all streets leading to and from it downtown must become walk-able urban environs offering all a city dweller or worker could want.
Of course now the 44 people Experience Columbus employs will have their lunch and take their daytime shopping money to Ted’s and Bucca and the Blue Jackets Shop instead of Due Amici or the Elevator.
